Requirements
Nitro Pools primarily support compatible spNFTs, which are essentially staking positions from a specific type of LP (Liquidity Provider). Additionally, each protocol that utilizes a Nitro Pool may set unique criteria to precisely select particular staking positions or to cater to certain profiles of staking users.
Minimum Staking Amount
A fundamental criterion is the minimum staking amount. Only those staked positions that meet or exceed this set amount can be included in the Nitro Pool. The unit of measurement for this requirement is based on the currency of the position's LP.
Lock Duration and End Time Requirements
Nitro Pools can also enforce specific lock terms on staked positions for them to be eligible:
Duration Requirement: The staked position must have a minimum total lock duration, measured in days.
End Time Requirement: The staked position must be locked until a specified future date.
Whitelist Feature
Protocols can establish a whitelist, allowing only certain addresses to engage with their Nitro Pools. This feature has various applications, such as rewarding loyal users, acknowledging competition winners, providing targeted compensation, or as an alternative to airdrops.
Custom Requirement Contract
For scenarios where protocols need highly specific criteria not covered by the standard Nitro contracts, there's an option to integrate a custom requirement contract with their Nitro Pool. This flexibility allows projects to tailor the pool's entry conditions to their unique needs.
