Nitro Pools serve as a powerful example of the inherent capabilities within DonutSwap's staked assets. These are pools with a set duration, designed to accept staked positions (spNFTs) from participants, thereby layering an additional yield reward on top of the existing returns from those positions.

In essence, Nitro Pools provide a straightforward, unrestricted avenue for protocols to boost their liquidity without the necessity of intermediaries. The revolutionary aspect, however, lies in their ability to set specific criteria. This gives projects the unique opportunity to target exactly the staking user demographic they wish to reward or to concentrate incentives on a particular type of liquidity.

DonutSwap's app features two varieties of Nitro Pools:

1. Official Nitro Pools: These are established by the DonutSwap team or their verified partners.

2. Community Nitro Pools: These can be initiated by any user, offering open deployment.
